18 months

It's been 18 months to the day since my mother passed away, I still remember her face as the doctor declared her dead. I remember the emotions I felt that morning when they called from the hospital to tell me she was in a coma-state. I remember having to wake up my brother to tell him.

I remember her words to me just days before, she said she was sorry.

Despite the hatred I have held in my heart all these years she was my mother and I loved her.
